Stephanie Taft is a senior associate attorney who focuses her practice on complex tort litigation, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims stemming from motor vehicle accidents, dangerous premises, and defective products. Ms. Taft has helped secure millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for her clients.
Ms. Taft takes an active role in her practice and is representing thousands of clients across the following mass tort proceedings:
- In Re Ford Motor Co. DPS6 Powershift Transmission Products Liability Litigation, Multi-District Litigation (MDL) No. 2814;
- Ford Motor Warranty Cases, Judicial Council Coordination Proceeding (JCCP) No. 4856;
- Ford Motor Warranty Cases, JCCP No. 4924;
- Carson – Dominguez Channel Cases, Case No. 21STCV38929 and Related Cases;
- JUUL Labs Product Cases, Case No. JCCP 5052.
Ms. Taft has also been involved in several notable personal injury settlements. Most recently, her settlements include a $5.5 Million recovery for a wrongful death case in a multi-party Federal action, and a $1 Million settlement against the Los Angeles County Sheriffs for abuse to an inmate.
Ms. Taft graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles after securing her B.A. degree from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. While at Loyola, she participated in the school’s Scott Moot Court Team and competed in the “National Competition” for appellate advocacy where she won the Regional Best Brief Award.
Ms. Taft is active in her local community and sits on the Board for the Los Angeles County Bar Association – Barristers Section and is an active member with CAALA and multiple other organizations.
