Daily Harvest is a vegan food delivery service marketed as “organic, nourishing, clean” and “sustainably sourced.” After hundreds of reports of illness, Daily Harvest issued a voluntary recall, asking consumers to throw away the defective product. Before the Daily Harvest recall, however, hundreds of consumers were injured.

Injuries suffered by consumers who ingested Daily Harvest’s Lentil + Leek Crumbles include everything from stomach pain to extended hospitalizations. According to CNN, some consumers even had to undergo gallbladder removal surgery.
