 Cheryl Buchanan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English from Trinity College in 1995. She received her J.D. from the University of Arizona in 2000. Ms. Buchanan previously practiced as General Counsel for Sunbelt Communications, owner of 8 NBC affiliates, based in Las Vegas. Her in-house experience includes 1st Amendment and Media Law in the field of broadcast journalism. Ms. Buchanan came to Kiesel, Boucher and Larson in January of 2003 to work specifically on the Catholic clergy child molestation litigation, and was instrumental in the successful resolution of the Orange County, San Diego, Fresno, and Los Angeles Archdiocese cases. Ms. Buchanan continues to work as an advocate for children's rights wherever abuse occurs. Ms. Buchanan has taught Communication Studies classes as an Adjunct Professor at Azusa Pacific University since 2004. She is an active member of the Nevada, Arizona, and Connecticut Bar Associations.
